About
Welcome to my practice.
I have been in private practice for over 20 years. As background, I completed my doctorate in clinical psychology in 1997 at Yeshiva University, Bronx, New York. I subsequently worked as a post-doctoral research assistant in Long Island Jewish Medical Center on studies of major mental illness. After working as a staff psychologist and assistant clinic director in Manhattan Family Court Mental Health Services Clinic, I opened my office in midtown Manhattan in 2002. Since COVID, I have expanded my services to include telehealth.
Individual adults and couples come to my practice with a wide range of issues, and my approach is individualized to each patient's needs. My psychotherapy techniques integrate DSM-5 diagnostics, psychodynamic formulations, cognitive behavioral therapy, psychoeducation and support for your personalized goals.
Fee Structure:
I am in-network with United Healthcare and Oxford Health plans. Typically there is little to no within-network deductible, although patients are responsible for a co-pay for each session.
I am an out-of-network provider for patients with Cigna, Aetna, Blue Cross/Blue Shield, Anthem, and others. This means that the patient is charged the session fee and I submit claims to the insurer for direct patient reimbursement, once a deductible is met.
Sessions:
I offer telehealth via Zoom and in-office visits.
The length of therapy is flexible, with options for a short-term problem focus or longer term wellness.
I am thankful for opportunities to do meaningful and helpful work.
